Jennifer Aniston e Vince Vaughn desmentem noivado
O agente da atriz Jennifer Aniston, estrela da série de TV Friends, desmentiu que sua cliente e o ator Vince Vaughn tenham ficado noivos, como informou nesta quarta-feira a editora da revista especializada US Weekly.
Os astros de Hollywood, que recentemente representaram um casal com problemas na comédia Separados pelo Casamento, teriam ficado noivos em 27 de junho, após um longo relacionamento secreto, contou a editora da US Weekly, Janice Min, à emissora de TV americana NBC.
Em uma breve declaração à AFP, o agente de Jennifer, Steven Huvane, garantiu que "a informação que apareceu na US Weekly é incorreta. Eles não estão comprometidos".
Min afirmou, por sua vez, que tem "várias" fontes que confirmam a história. "Como faria qualquer casal, só informaram algumas pessoas. Este noivado ocorreu há mais de seis semanas. A notícia demorou um tempo para vazar", disse ela.
Segundo a editora, Vaughn pediu a mão de Aniston em um jato particular quando o casal voltava de férias no México. "Vince estava com o anel, ficou de joelhos, pediu a mão e Jennifer disse sim", acrescentou.
A vida afetiva da atriz tem sido um dos assuntos favoritos da imprensa de fofocas desde que ela e o galã Brad Pitt se divorciaram em 2005, depois de um casamento de cinco anos.
Antes da concretização do divórcio, Pitt começou um romance com a atriz Angelina Jolie, com quem teve recentemente uma filha.

The US WEEKLY MAGAZINE affirms: Jen and Vince are engaged! But, Steven Huvane, Aniston´s agent, said these rumors about a supposed Engagement of Jennifer and Vince aren´t not true. He have a counter argument of Janice Min, the US Weekly´s publisher. She said that Vince and Jen are really engaged, since June 27.
These rumors are confusing me and all Jen´s fans! We just want see Jen happy, right?

Us Weekly Claims "Vince Proposes," Aniston's Spokesman Says 'It's Just Not True'
Aug. 9, 2006 — Us Weekly says Vince Vaughn and Jennifer Aniston are engaged, and the magazine is sticking by its story, even though Aniston's camp issued a quick denial.
"It's just not true," Anniston spokesman Stephen Huvane tells ABCNEWS.com. "Their report is erroneous. They are not engaged."
The announcement set off a small firestorm among celebrity magazines and Web sites, some chuckling that Us will have to back down from its cover story that proclaims "Vince Proposes," while others are saying they've been engaged for months, and the relationship is actually in trouble.
"We stand by our report," an Us spokeswoman says.
According to the story, which quotes unnamed sources, the 36-year-old "Swingers" star popped the question on July 27, just as the couple was returning from a vacation at Casa Aramara, just north of Puerto Vallarta, Mexico.
The couple had just ended a nine-day vacation at the $25 million coastal retreat of "Girls Gone Wild" founder Joe Francis.
According to the report, Vaughn presented his 37-year-old girlfriend with an engagement ring from jeweler Suzy Fabrikant that boasts a $500,000 diamond.
A friend of the couple saw them a few days later, dining with friends Courteney Cox and husband David Arquette at Wolfgang Puck's Beverly Hills eatery, Cut, when they supposedly announced the good news, Us reports.
"Vince stood behind Jennifer and put his arm on her shoulder, letting her know that he was there," the source tells the magazine. "You could tell they tried not to be too touchy-feely, but they are obviously happy together."
Despite Aniston's denial, a whirlwind of rumors surrounds the couple, who've been hesitant to talk about their relationship.
"This is old news to us," says Life & Style editor-in-chief Debra Birnbaum. "We reported that they got engaged two months ago."
Earlier in the day, as Us unveiled its cover story, the publicist at Birnbaum's magazine sent out a mass email to reporters, saying "Life & Style Told You First!"
"I do think it's funny that Aniston's spokesman is denying that they are engaged," says Birnbaum. "I don't think that spokesmen for either one of them ever confirmed they were going out."
While Life & Style is now claiming that Vaughn and Aniston have since put their wedding plans on hold, Star magazine is saying that Matthew McConaughey has been "moving in" on Aniston since his breakup with Penelope Cruz.
Meanwhile, the E! News website is taking swipes at both magazines, saying the "friend" that Us quotes in its story, "fell out of the loop at some point."
"To break it down: Life & Style reports engagement, Us Weekly denies engagement, Life & Style reports breakup, Us Weekly counters with engagement report, Life & Style conveniently forgets prior breakup report, points finger at Us Weekly and says, 'Nana nana boo-boo.' Yes, our heads hurt too," writes Sarah Hall of E! News.
Vaughn and Aniston had been hesitant to talk about their relationship until earlier this summer when they were promoting their movie, "The Break-Up."
After making coy references to the relationship in an interview with David Letterman in early May, Vaughn opened up a bit more to Oprah Winfrey a few days later.
"Jennifer's great," Vaughn told Winfrey. "She's just really smart and funny and easy to be with — very considerate. She's great. I think (having children) takes a lot of focus, takes a lot of attention. I think it would be nice at some point to have a different priority. I think that time would come. But not any time in the near future for me.
"No, I have not talked about having kids with Jennifer," he said, laughing. "First we have to have the $8 million wedding."
